We’re Back!

Updated: 6-26-2020

As part of a progressive reopening process, we have been rolling out TWB services as it makes sense for the safety of our entire cage-free community. We have learned a lot in the last few weeks, and we’ve been able to fine tune our processes. In doing so, we are implementing new procedures to keep everyone safe.

And now every TWB location is officially offering all services!

  • Boarding
  • Daycare
  • Paw Spaw
  • In-person training
  • Sniff Arounds

We’re excited to bring back in-person training at all locations. Class sizes will be significantly reduced and more space will be utilized to keep participants spread out.

For the specifics on boarding, like what to bring and prepare for your stay, you can click here. And if you haven’t stayed with us before, you’ll want to book a Sniff Around. For all the info on new safety protocols, you can click here.

When booking, please use the parent portal, if you can, to make appointments. That will really help us streamline the process. We are happy to help you get set up for that if you need any assistance from us. If you do not have access to the parent portal, email is the next best thing.

We continue to take extra precautions for the health and safety of our customers and staff. Here are a few things to keep in mind as you come back to your favorite TWB location:

  • Services will be limited to curbside drop-off and pick-up to limit the number of people inside each building. The only exception is training – we will allow training customers in the building upon arrival for their scheduled session.
  • A text option to help facilitate drop off & pick up will be communicated upon your arrival.  When you pull up to drop off, someone will be right out to assist you.
  • To check-in for boarding, give us a call when you arrive for drop off, and we will get all of your information over the phone. Then, we’ll send someone out to get your dog & overnight belongings.
  • All staff will be required to wear masks.
  • We will have shifts dedicated to wiping down all contact surfaces throughout the day, per a very specific checklist.

Of course you can give us a call during business hours if you have any questions.

Over the last ten-plus years, we’ve surpassed a lot of milestones. None quite like this though. With a combination of excitement, relief and appropriate caution, we are excited to welcome your dog back to all four locations of The Watering Bowl.

We cannot thank you all enough for your support through this incredibly difficult time! Your phone calls, messages, emails & financial support have meant more to us than we could ever possibly put into words.

We feel so honored to be part of such an amazingly tight-knit community, and we can not wait to see you guys back at TWB. All of the faces–furry and not as furry–we have been able to see this past week and all of the feedback we have received have truly solidified how much we all mean to each other.

There is no place we’d rather be! Thank you.

Let’s do this.

Some say we are supposed to do social distancing with our pets. I assume you will not be doing that. I am fine with it but I was just curious.

      Hey Joan,
We are taking measures on the human side to minimize contact, but the dogs will still be allowed to play together. Let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

Do you have any idea when you anticipate opening for boarding?

    • Jeremy on May 11, 2020 at 7:54 am

Possibly as soon as next week, but that is very much up in the air at this point. We would really like to be boarding before Memorial Day weekend, but we need to see how things go this week. We will continue to make announcements regarding changes on Facebook and via email. Thanks!

How are you handling payment. Is there a way to pay on line?

    • Jeremy on May 11, 2020 at 7:53 am

      Hey Theresa,
We have mobile touchless card readers that are supposed to be here today. We will be able to bring them out to your car. You will insert & remove your card card, and we will type in the info. If the machines are not here in time today we will continue to use the app. For curbside we’ve just been asking people to read us their info, and we type into the app for them to take payment. And you are certainly welcome to call us and pay over the phone if you are more comfortable with that. Let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

Good morning, I may have missed this information but how will drop off and pick up work? I see there is a texting option just wondering what I do when I pull up. I keep telling Juneau she gets to go play with her friends this week!
      Thank you!

      • Jeremy on May 12, 2020 at 3:08 pm

        Hey Rachel,
When you pull up in the morning there should be someone out right away to help you. We have a dedicated curbside attendant during the morning & evening rush. At drop off we will confirm the best phone number for you, and then we will shoot you a text in the middle of the day. You can just reply to that text with your dog’s name & location when you arrive for pick up. If for any reason someone is not out to help you within a minute or two of your arrival you are welcome to call us. Hope this helps. Thanks!

I would like to schedule some doggy daycare can somebody please call me?

          • Jeremy on May 14, 2020 at 2:48 pm

            Hey Amy,
If you can give us your phone number we’d be happy to reach out. I can’t find you in our system. Or feel free to call whichever location works best for you. Thanks!

    Hey Jeremy,

My new puppy, Chance, wants to go to daycare with his older brother. Will sniff-arounds resume in the near future?

    • Jeremy on May 12, 2020 at 3:12 pm

      Hey Gary,
If you are an existing client you can set up a Sniff Around for your new dog now. Existing clients know the drill already, so we are able to get their dogs introduced to the pack easier. We will be making an announcement soon regarding Sniff Arounds for clients that are completely new to The Watering Bowl. Thanks!

If I drop my dog for boarding one fri . But because your closed all weekend will I be charged for the whole week???

    • Jeremy on June 23, 2020 at 3:17 pm

Hey Eileen, we are no longer closed on the weekends. As of this weekend all locations are fully operational with regular business hours! So if you bring your dog in for boarding you are welcome to pick them up whenever is most convenient for you. We will be closed to the public on July 4th, like we are every year. We will still have staff here, and the dogs’ days will be the same. We just won’t be open for drop offs or pick ups. Thanks!
