Our mission is to blend consistent guidance and healthy socialization to foster a well-rounded life for both dogs and their owners.

It’s all about getting to know each other.

Meet our certified trainers

The certified trainers at each of The Watering Bowl locations utilize the Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive (LIMA) approach to working with their students.

We can’t wait to introduce you.

Laura has been training dogs and people for over 10 years and uses several modalities, tailored to each unique pet-parent relationship. She believes that building on existing strengths is key to good behavior and a happier dog. In other words, it’s all about engagement and building a strong foundation that can enhance the rest of your training goals and family life.

Bree BSA Trainer

Bree has worked with Watering Bowl dogs both in and outside the Butt Sniffers Academy, first as a floor leader, and now as a certified trainer. She believes that productive sessions begin with a strong trainer-trainee bond, which create a foundation for obedience, good behavior, and balance. It’s hard work, but it pays off when happy parents and pups understand the commands and concepts taught in training.

TWB-Services-Training-Jon

Jon genuinely loves his job, and it shows. When asked what gives him the most gratification, he narrowed it down to three outcomes, “I love the peace that an angry or fearful dog gets from confidence and trust. I love the sigh of relief that comes from a client the first time they realize the most troubling issue is surmountable. And I love the pure joy a dog derives from receiving the reward of affection.”

“They are completely different puppies. We are so proud of them. They may become little angels yet. We have a ways to go, but I think we are on the right track. Thank you for what you’ve done for us.”

- Chari

"Thank you so much for all your work with Granger! She has come so far over just 4 weeks and I could not be happier. She was also SO happy after her last day at TWB on Friday - thanks to all the staff who have taken care of her. We will truly miss the community of the Watering Bowl and will be thinking of everyone (and all the dogs!) in our new home in Houston."

- Sarah

"[Victor] is doing so well at home! Last night when I got home from work he didn’t charge me at the door. He excitedly laid down until I came to him. It gave me a chance to get my coat off and put my things down. I was so proud of him! Thank you for all you have done to help us grow together as a family."

-Barb

"We introduced our dog to our newborn, and they became fast friends. Thanks to the TWB training staff for helping us prepare. We’re proud of our two babies and love watching them lay next to each other on the couch!"

-Rebecca

SIT. STAY. SNIFF. PLAY.

We’re ready when you are. Make sure you have your records all up-to-date with our front desk, and let us know if you’re interested in 1-on-1 training or one of our upcoming classes. Call any location to get started.

Requirements

We love puppies, but all dogs must be at least 12 weeks old. And all dogs over 7 months must be spayed or neutered for obvious reasons.

All dogs must attend a 45-Minute Sniff Around to make sure they’re pack-ready. This temperament evaluation is for the safety of all dogs and humans at The Watering Bowl and can be scheduled online or over the phone.

We also require up-to-date vaccinations, including:

DHLPP
Rabies
Bordetella (required annually, recommended every 6 months)
Negative Fecal Test
Recommended, but not required: Canine Influenza
