What’s Not To Like?

There’s a lot of great stuff happening at The Watering Bowl.

Our cage-free canine community is expanding to the city. Butt Sniffers Academy is continually ranked as the foremost four-legged institute of higher learning. We have fancy, schmancy new camera equipment for posting videos of our dogs.

And we are getting dangerously close to 10,000 likes on our Facebook page.

But it’s not all about us. It’s about what we can do to help others around us. And all of you have helped us do exactly that over the last five-plus years.

So, with our third location about to open and our new neighbors, Gateway Pet Guardians, looking forward to our arrival, we thought we’d try to raise some money to help them continue to promote their cause. And by “raise” we mean “donate” some money.

But we will need your help. In our quest to reach 10,000 likes, we’d appreciate it if you would help promote our page to your Facebook friends. Or your Twitter friends. Or Instagram. Or your friends you see in real life.

Tonight, between the hours of 6 pm and 9 pm, we will be donating 50 cents for every new FB like we get to take us over and above 10,000 followers on Facebook.

It adds up quick. If we get 2,000 likes, that’s $1,000. If we get 5,347 likes, that’s a whopping $2,673.50. The math isn’t complicated, but it is impressive what we can do with a little push from our amazing customers, such as yourselves.

They’re a great organization, and we are proud to become their neighbors as well as their partners.

So, go ahead. Repost, retweet or otherwise extend the message to anyone who you think would feel compelled to wield the power of the like button for the force of good in our new hood. We’re close—only 200 likes to go, but we’ll keep adding to the check until midnight tomorrow.

And feel free to use #TWB3GPG to show your support. It’s not necessary, but it makes us feel more official.

We thank you in advance and look forward to presenting Gateway Pet Guardians with one of those big, unwieldy checks.
