In the wintertime, mental stimulation can be hard to come by.

That’s not just true for humans. Dogs wind up sleeping more. They get less exercise. And they use their brains less, too.

Well, except the ones who get to come play with us at The Watering Bowl.

Our goal is always to provide physical and mental exercise in a safe environment. It’s the whole philosophy behind our cage-free canine community, and it’s just as important, if not more so, during the cold, dark winter months.

And it’s a great time to consider enrollment in Butt Sniffers Academy. It’s an educational experience based on healthy socialization. And, believe or not, it’s good for human companions, too.

This time of year, we are holding classes indoors at our South County location, and the dean of BSA, Tracy Pritchard encourages dogs of all training levels to sign up for a six-week class.

It can serve as a refresher course, a chance to learn more or just an opportunity to hang out with your dog somewhere other than the couch.

Any way you look at it, it’s good for both of you.

Classes are filled based on demand, so we encourage you to call our South County location at 314.892.8779 if you’re interested in enrolling, and we’ll let you know about the next available class.

We welcome pups of all ages, sizes and skill level, but we do try to group them, so everyone can get the most out of the class. We keep it to no more than eight students as well. This way, everyone gets attention from the professor.
