Dogs Love A Parade
Mardi Gras is coming up, and that can only mean one thing. The Beggin’ Pet Parade will be waltzing through Soulard. And no pet parade would be complete without the participation of St. Louis’ favorite Cage-Free Canine Community.
Not to brag, but we know how to party. And our attendance in the past has fully supported that claim.
We hope you’ll join us Sunday, January 31st. The parade officially starts at 1:00pm, but The Watering Bowl crew will be meeting at Allen & Menard around noon. (Mardi Gras parades are notoriously laid back.)
We’ll have our dog mascot to lead us, lots of TWB paraphernalia and a whole gaggle of dogs and humans taking Soulard on all fours. If you’ve never been, take a look at our past appearances for reference.
This year, the weather is actually supposed to be pretty nice. Not that a little snow has stopped us before. But in case you needed another excuse to take your dog on what may be the most fun walk of the year, there it is: weather. Boom. See you there.
And if you are there, we’d love to document it with a hashtag. How about #TWBPetParade? That’s pretty easy. And we’ll gladly hook you up with, shall we say, considerations for your efforts.
If you need any gear for the event, take a look around our lobby. We have all kinds of hoodies, beanies and assorted accessories for purchase. And we plan on bringing beer that’s not for purchase. Just consumption.
This event is one of those we circle on our calendars every year. It’s a great chance to put a human face with the dog names we get to spend time with every day at our cage-free canine community.
And, yes, we’ll have plenty of poop bags on hand.
