DOGS HELPING DOGS
We have a special place in our hearts for strays. And on Monday, March 4th, we invite you to join us in assisting Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
On that day, all proceeds from both of our locations will be donated to help abandoned, abused and neglected dogs in all of our backyards.
It’s part of our ongoing commitment to our best friends.
This is our second year for A Day For Strays. Last year, we raised over $1,800 for Stray Rescue and the over 500 dogs in their care.
One thing to note: all dogs must have passed a Sniff Around prior to March 4th in order to take part in A Day For Strays.
This year, we have another location and hopefully even more support for a great cause.
In addition to this one-day event, Bridget Matarazzi of The Watering Bowl has been bringing one lucky stray to our South County location every Tuesday for a full day of play with his or her new best friends. With over 3,000 Facebook followers, it’s a great chance for us to highlight a pup and hopefully move him into foster care and/or adoption.
For nearly two years, Bridget and The Watering Bowl have helped several dogs find new homes. And that’s what it’s all about for us. Happy, healthy pups, enjoying life and bringing joy to the lives of others.
“I committed to going down to Stray Rescue every Tuesday to pick up a shelter dog and bring them home at the end of the day,” and the dogs appreciate her commitment. As for how they interact with our regular customers, Bridget says they “seem to have a big smile on their face the entire day. They seem so grateful. Some are big people dogs and just want loving from the staff. Others just want to play with their new friends.”
Check the dog blog and Facebook each week for the most recent visitor. And feel free to share with any of your friends who may be looking to adopt a great dog.
